construction
We use only the highest quality materials to construct your deck. We build to exceptionally high standards with attention to detail and workmanship.
Properly constructed decks begin with a properly constructed subfloor. You can feel confident in our construction methods and know that your new deck will last for decades and become a real asset to your property.
We use (wherever possible), planer gauged and kiln dried treated framing timber. This enables a high degree of accuracy. Either stainless steel or galvanised components are used throughout the subfloor framing to eliminate any movement. Concrete comes ready-mixed in a truck and not from a bag.
All construction conforms to the rules of the NZ Building Code.
We use only kiln dried hardwood timbers for the deck cladding, guaranteeing perfect tight joins and spacings between boards. Screw lines are straight, and if a board is 1mm too short when cut, it is reused elsewhere and a new board is installed. This attention to detail is what we pride our workmanship on.
Caring for the environment
Our philosophy is to reduce waste and recycle everything possible. All waste is sorted and recycled, with treated offcuts reused and untreated offcuts used for firewood.
We work on just one project at a time giving it our full attention. We stay on that job until it is completed before moving to the next. We keep the worksite clean and tidy and safe, as often there are curious young children and pets in residence during construction.
